Alvarez has a high fight iq. Great coaches with smart game plan. He's a grinder. Good grappler. And if they bang, he could catch RDA. RDA was out of training until just a few weeks ago because of his foot. Got to assume that he dropped 5% off of his peak. Value is on Alvarez

I believe rda has a pretty damn good chin, wouldn't say anywhere close to shaky. I like rdas cardio to win out and get him a finish in the 4th or 5th round after a fairly competive first 3 rounds. Alverez is tough to finish, but seemed to slow down a bit in the last couple, and with the pressure rda puts on, the leg kicks, takedowns, takedown attempts, don't expect alverez to be going off more than heart in the championship rounds, and rda also has that in spades. Alverez needs to take all of the first 3 rounds, to win a dec, dont give alverez ko much of a chance but it's possible.

I'm also on RDA R4/R5. And I really like the over 3.5 at +120. Both super tough guys. I see this fight going the distance more often than not.

That's what I was thinking, of just playing the 4th, 5th and rda dec. Not laying that much juice, still hoping for late alverez action to come in. Also like the over, but I might just do over 3 rounds parlayed with jones DC over 2 or 3 rds.

i like that, rda 4/5.. BM has better prices than 5d for this. (you can do both guys +800 and both guys +1300.. or +1800 rda rd 5)

Pretty much agree with this. Like I said before, Alvarez needs to stay upright and at boxing range to win this. At distance, RDA will eat him up with kicks. In the clinch, he runs the risk of getting taken down or kneed up. Odds are pretty accurate imo. Definitely think a late finish for RDA is possible. Alvarez had nothing left in the 3rd against Cerrone IIRC.

haha.. is that a guess? rda has a shaky chin?

Total guess. I'm not 100% of RDA's chin being that stout at this point though. The only other big hitter he fought put him away. He's fought a bunch of guys with a lot of TKO wins but they are more swarm fighters than one-punch guys (Cerrone, Njokani, Pettis, etc.). I think Alvarez punches harder than any of them.

alvarez is my SINGLE biggest moneymaker in all of MMA over the past couple years, won over 10u on both his melendez and pettis fights... but yea. he was pretty f'ing gassed at the end of both of them (and slowed down after rd 1 vs cowboy like you said)... liking this 4/5 RDA idea.

Alvarez was ready to GO at the end of that Cowboy fight btw. Like, he would have gotten finished in the fourth no doubt in my mind.

just adding a bit to muhammad based on weighins. ramadan concerns are gone for me. he looks fuckin awesome. we'll see.

Felipe Arantes: VERY rough weight cut. He was still suffering hours after starting to rehydrate.

Mitch Clarke looks like he was hurting as well.
