Thread for bookie problems

Hi guys,

I like betting on fights, but i really hate the bookies from the bottom of my heart. First off getting limited for winning pescy amounts, now another one of these vultures have frozen my account due to "verification" where they simply refuse every document sent to them with a pathetic excuse "not clear enough" (although high resolution), not readable etc.

The worst thing about it, is that it's not even that big of amounts they're trying to steal. On this account it is roughly 850€.

Getting really tired of dealing with these assholes. Thinking about shifting completely to the stock market instead of getting hustled by shady eurobookies.

To get hustled by wallstreet instead? The liquidity is nice. But the tactics are even shadier.

If you are euro, Go unibet. They are decent and dont play games.

Given that Euro books are legal, I'm surprised they get away with this stuff so easily. Obviously they can limit or boot you if they want. But refusing to pay money owed on false pretenses would be pretty serious here. I have some vague notion of better consumer protection over there than we have.

I guess at an Indian casino, you might have to deal with shit like that. Now that I think about it, CA card clubs are super crooked. But Nevada runs a fairly tight ship. Like, if a book takes a bet on an erroneous line, that's their problem.

I think if there were legal, online books here, and they tried to weasel out of paying money that was clearly owed, they would get fisted with a class action suit in short order.

Ok, here we go again:

Sehr geehrter Herr XXXX,

Wir kontaktieren Sie heute, um Ihnen mitzuteilen, dass eine Geschäftsentscheidung getroffen wurde, und wir von Ihrem BetVictor-Konto 558-xxxx keine weiteren Sportwetten mehr annehmen.

For you who didn't have any German lessons in school it means that I'm not allowed to bet at all anymore at this site.

I managed to win a whole 853€ from them. :grinning:

Joke of a bookie.

A friend of mine bets UFC at work. His max bet is $3. I tend to think the average bet was much higher but perhaps my thoughts are formulated by hanging around with you savages.

Worst part is when the books limit you to peanuts, but you're still placing peanut bets, trying to pick up $0.15 in EV, when you wouldn't pick up a quarter off the ground (just kidding, I would pick up a nickle).

The reason is that I get lines that are way off sometimes, and their livebet was really good. They also have a wide variety of props.
