My wife’s whole job is about employees sharing desk space due to work from home. Her job is to reduce real estate. They bought and are building out a huge office in midtown. It will be hilarious if no one goes into that office now.

I lost all of my quarantine gainz in the 5 weeks. I think it’s a combo of poor nutrition(I eat pints of ice cream at a time) , lack of exercise, and mostly the lack of sleep.
The newest thing this shit (kid) does is not sleep in the crib. Like as soon as we put him in the crib the fucker wakes up.
Also I’m most likely moving out of the city. It only took a pandemic, daily riots and looting and, now the cops shooting fireworks at night to get me out of here

Not that you'd want to but don't come Upstate if the fireworks get you at night. They shoot em off all day and night in my neighborhood. All fucking spring and summer. As soon as it's warm enough to go out, some mf'ers are gonna be shooting off fireworks. It's like Baghdad in '03. Actually it's nothing like it. But it sounds like mortars everyday, is my point.

My wife just got the notice that she is not going back to the office until 2021.

Its fascinating to me watching how different countries are trying to cope with this virus.
On one hand you have countries like Sweden and Taiwan that segregated the vulnerable but essentially never locked down. Then you have places like new Zealand that recently went into another full scale lock down because of 4 cases of corona.
Our job keeper payments ( free money from the government which my company is currently on ) extend to september 28th at which point many companies will be tapered off. That's when the dominoes will start to fall.
Ive seen a statistic recently that in any given year 2000? ( im butchering these numbers ) businesses fail in australia but in the same time period during corona only a small fraction of companies have failed. All kept afloat by helicopter money. Until there is no more helicopter money. A reckoning is coming.

My company just sent out an email to see who is interested in a severance. If not enough people volunteer they will choose who gets let go
I’m assuming on the let go list. I have an inflated nyc salary and don’t even support New York employees.
Severance Is some decent coin. Might need to change my address to Florida so Cuomo doesn’t take 16%.
