I know that Josh Barnett hasn't competed in an MMA fight in over three years since his undeserved PED suspension, but he was busy with grappling competitions at least. Possible cage rust aside, I am struggling to see how Ronny Markes beats him here unless Josh is totally washed at this point. Markes is a smaller man as a career light heavyweight and gained quite a bit of weight to come up to heavyweight, coming in almost 40 pounds heavier earlier today than for his last MMA fight a few months ago at 250 pounds versus The Warmaster's 251 pounds. He doesn't even have a knockout on his pro record and is extraordinarily unlikely to submit Barnett which is the other way he usually wins against strikers and lesser grapplers. So it's down to a lucky punch or winning a three round decision against the bigger man with far better experience, both of which I believe are going to be very difficult. The price is not exactly inexpensive, but I think the chalk is justified in this case around -250.
