**Van Roosmalen missed the featherweight limit by more than 9 pounds. Commission head Mike Mazzulli told MMA Junkie Van Roosmalen will be required to fight at lightweight moving forward. Lencioni declined to take the fight at a catchweight, so that bout is canceled. A prelim fight will be moved to the main card and will be announced later today.

I know he has only one hand, but with Nick Newell a more than -700 favorite and matched up in his home state of Connecticut against a 10-6 little known fighter who has been stopped in 3 of his last 4 bouts including once by Nick Newell's specialty, a round one submission, and I can't help but think this is one they expect him to win. I know many of us got burned when we backed Newell on the Contender Series against a decent fighter who is a wrestler, but this is Bellator and he's selling a lot of tickets for them at the Mohegan Sun Arena tonight. He got a round 1 submission in his Bellator debut recently and I really like the under 1½ at -130 to -135 for a decent sized wager.

Despite losing by round one submission in a recent bout, Luis Muro had better defense than I expected and was able to avoid Nick Newell's early submission attempt to eke out a hard fought split decision victory and ruin my under play. At least my chase on the Paul Daley/Saad Awad under and Douglas Lima live bet paid off to limit my loss to a small 0.70 units.
