Complaint Against Bovada

Anyone ever lodged a complaint against a sportsbook on SBR? Bovada has me / supposedly all NY customers limited to withdrawals of $400 max with a service charge of $50 per withdrawal (amounts to 12.5%) and 1 withdrawal per month. All of this seems like BS to me and is a deviation from prior practices of up to $1,000 per month for free. I want to gripe about it to see if I can get any traction and have them change their practices but have never done anything like this. Any thoughts/guidance would be much appreciated - all my limits have been cut back down so I'm not overly concerned about getting targeted by them and having my limits reduced.

Here is the language from their Terms of Service:

4.8. Withdrawals. To withdraw funds from your Account you will need to request a withdrawal from the Cashier page of your Account. You may request a withdrawal of any amount up to the full balance of your Account. If we are satisfied that you have complied with the Terms, all AML and fraud-screening requirements, and all rules relating to the Games and any related bonuses, the payout shall be made to you. The manner in which the withdrawal is processed may be restricted, depending on the means by which the initial deposit(s) was/were made to the applicable Account. Without limiting the foregoing, we reserve the right to conclude your withdrawal request by an alternative method or process at our discretion. If, for whatever reason, a payout request cannot be approved, a Customer Services Representative will contact you.

From their FAQ:

Bovada covers your fees for one withdrawal per calendar month using eligible methods. Subsequent withdrawals in the same month will incur a US$ 50 processing fee. Some premium withdrawal methods may have additional fees attached to them.

If applicable, fees for residents of your area will be displayed on the Withdrawal page when you are logged into your Bovada account.

Are there withdrawal limits?

Yes, limits are based on the withdrawal method chosen. Please refer to the chart below.

WITHDRAWAL LIMITS
Method Minimum Withdrawal Maximum Withdrawal
Check by Courier $50 $3,000
Rapid Transfer $100 $400
Note: Users are limited to one withdrawal per method, per seven days, except for Rapid Transfer transactions, which are limited to one per calendar month.

And when I bitched to Customer Service I was told the only option available to NY players is Rapid Transfer thus the $400 per month cap and $50 fee.

Idk, napes.. I just remember waiting for 6 weeks at times for a check from bodog. I basically steer clear of them as a result

Napes... That is not a good sign.
Only reason a book would do that would be to claw back margin. I am guessing they are hurting.

I hope you do not have much tied up there.

If this only applies to NY State players, it sounds like this is more a function of them trying to get around any issues with the state anti-gambling laws or money transferring regulations.
