If you think Henderson/Cerrone was a "robbery," then you are either a complete and utter imbecile or you have no understanding of the meaning of the word. All 3 rounds were close and could have gone either way. Henderson's little knee kicks were utterly useless and ineffective and were scored as such. Just because he landed a ton of them doesn't mean they were impactful on the fight in any manner. The stand up portion of the fight was very even in all 3 rounds and Cerrone got takedowns in 2 rounds. I had it 29-28 Cerrone and was confident going into the decision.

And ya, I'll still be more than happy to pound Aldo at around even.

Ended up down only 1 unit which I didn't think was possible after the Larkin fight. Would have actually turned a profit if not for the Spencer-Pendred debacle. I've had worse nights - - on to the next.

Quality post. You're off to a good start here...

Tell me what Henderson did to pull away so much that this decision was so bad?

Oh great, is the guy who registered a few days before me going to put me in my place now?

I don't really have a problem with the decision, it was a close fight. Personally, I disagree with it but these things happen in MMA and I completely understand the rationale if heavily disagree with it. What I find to be idiotic is that it was completely obvious from your post that you were going to say that Cowboy deserved it no matter what. Strikes don't matter unless you find them to be telling or changing. Leg strikes shouldn't be scored but useless takedowns with at most 15 seconds of ground control should.

Funny how the Cowboy / Jury fight was 90% leg kicks.. hardly any punches thrown. those count but the ones Bendo used against Cowboy meant nothing.

There's no point arguing with gamblers with W/L bias, you will only drive yourself crazy.

"Robbery" is a bit of an exaggeration. but it was still a bad dec. just like Lawler was. but as long as the fighter is popular enough and there won't be that much of an outcry the judges will get away with it and make some extra pocket money. ;)

marz, you need to rethink the way you look at things. it isn't about W/L bias.

in general, guys, fighting each other isn't gonna help. we need to be open to different perspectives. you're gonna hold yourself back if you refuse to believe that a fight is closer than you thought it was. (or moreso, recognize that the judges are going to see it as close). additionally, if you throw the word robbery around too much, it loses its meaning.

also, don't underestimate hometown biases.

Well then maybe your all just not good at judging fights? all these fighters who study the game and fight for a living thought Benson won aswell.

I thought Benson won all three rounds, i don't really give Cowboy much credit for getting a ten second takedown. stats seem to agree that Bendo outstriked him aswell? so how would you give Cowboy the W. what significant strikes did he land or at what point was the controlling the octagon?

I feel like i'm living in Willy Wonka land that people are even arguing that Cowboy won. favoritism and gambling bias is a strong thing.

Go rewatch the fight and get back to me. i'm done talking about this.
