Both making ufc debuts. Viera is a highly credentialed bjj player on the level of jacare. Guy is built like a tank. Has decent takedowns. Uses wrestling techniques rather than just trips or bodylocks. Probably on the juice (some concern with usada testing). Potential to be a big name in brazil. Piechota has a good bjj game but i think viera is levels above.
Garagorri is a local uruguayan fighter. Only local guy on the card. Interesting that they're putting this fight on the main card, co-co-main event. Dont know much about him other than he's undefeated. Mainly a fade of bandelay and speculating they want the local guy to win.
Viera on main card too which says something imo. I'd have to re-watch Meerscheart fight but stats says Piechota was taken down several times and ended in sub so this seems like good style match up.
didnt we have a 156 thread? where has it gone ?
Edit - Found it
Thanks Jim for the forethought. Gods work.
Call me a glutton for punishment but i really like Perry here. Vince got hit a lot in his last fight. You let Perry hit you that many times, its not going to end well.
Also, Perry's last fight was short notice which may have affected his cardio, despite him winning the back and forth match.
My plan was to also take viera itd for another 1u or so, but its looking like the price won't be much better than where i got the ml. Hate when that happens.
UFC Uruguay media day stare downs:
Marina Rodriguez towering over Tecia Torres.
Tecia is gonna wrestle for sure. How is marina on the mat?
UFC Uruguay official weigh-ins from earlier this morning:
Gianni in rare form- he thinks Raulian Paiva and Rogerio Bontorin are females. The lingo cracks me up: "My group", "buy orders" "movers", lol. Like he's a stockbroker who other people without a license need to go through to get their bets down. "Wiseguys have no problem hitting Gane at -400 since they want that 25% return on investment." You public wouldn't understand, he he.
Added: Geraldo De Freitas (-145) vs Chris Gutierrez $145.00 for $100.00
Also need Geraldo. Close but I think he got it
I could see a split either way
Damn i knew it.... I didnt have anywhere to play this live. I wanted to hedge so bad ;/
This wasnt live on 5d was it ? I looked but didnt see it.
It was. Got denied +220 after 2
