Gustafsson by submission +875, really? I know he hasn't gotten many subs recently but Smith has been subbed multiple times earlier in his career. Takedowns and submission attempts seems like a good gameplan for Gustafsson this time. So half unit on the sub prop.
Can't find fishgold vs teymur on espn plus. So annoying.
Volkan fight scrapped. Latifi injury
I wrote some of this up before to explain why certain fights are difficult to find and how to find the ones that are, now with added info specific to this bout you are looking for. The TLDR is that you need both ESPN+ and Fight Pass plus VPN to ensure that you can find any previously broadcast UFC fight no matter where it originally was shown:
The search engines on both ESPN+ and Fight Pass are pretty unreliable. If you search on a fighter's name who you want to watch, oftentimes their fights simply won't come up. Instead of giving up there however, I have learned that you have to be smarter than the lame search engine. If you can't get a result from searching the fighters' names, then look up what card they are on with Sherdog, Tapology or Wikipedia by searching on the main event fighters' names to find the full main card video or full prelims video to watch the particular fight you want. That usually works.
But in this case, if you wanted to watch Chris Fishgold's most recent fight against Daniel Teymur from the Blachowicz vs Santos card on February 23rd, 2019 for example, there is another wrinkle in that he fought on the prelims which were broadcast on ESPN2 on tv in the U.S., not on ESPN+. So maybe ESPN+ won't ever archive the prelims and that fight. However if you have Fight Pass you can search Chris Fishgold to find that fight and see that it is geo-blocked in the U.S. at least. No worries though if you have a VPN, you can always VPN somewhere else and watch it on Fight Pass that way.
Now there is no doubt that the search engines on both these streaming services suck and you shouldn't have to jump through that extra hoop or two to find the fights you want. It would be nice if you could just type a name and have it come up easily and efficiently and click on it and watch it. But that's what the reality is and it is unlikely to change any time soon. So for handicapping purposes since I personally already have Fight Pass and ESPN+ pre-paid for the year and I figured out how to work around this clunkiness by searching the main event fighter names if necessary on both services and even using a VPN if necessary to get around the geo-blocking, that opens up the ability to find most any UFC fight. For me it's more important to find the workaround and videos that I want than to complain. Hopefully these suggestions can help others.
Really annoying because Oezdemir was my biggest and most confident bet of the card.
Ya I just watched on mmacore but still it's bullshit that i pay for everything and literally can't watch that fight except on mmacore. Need to get a vpn. Thanks.
A decent VPN service is like $50/year and I use it for so many things now. For one, anonymizing my i.p. when using torrents to avoid those dreaded copyright infringement letters from my isp. Also access to certain sportsbooks I might not otherwise have access to in the U.S.. As well, it makes UFC cards so much more watchable by avoiding the annoying and repeated ESPN+ commercials, so one does not miss the walkouts & corners between rounds. Not to mention if you don't mind being a little behind the tv feed when the cards are on ESPN2 or ESPN on tv in the U.S. you can actually see the fights full screen instead of that gigantic advertising & promotional banner across the bottom of the screens that often cuts off the fighters' feet by watching on Fight Pass from 'outside' the U.S..
I have a spare invite to mma tracker if you need one. That's how i use to do my research.
Ive actually got two invites, if anyone else wants one.
FWIW there are some free VPN services that would do the trick. Not as many features as a pay service, and limited download capacity, but if you dont use it constantly it should be sufficient.
Official early weigh-in highlights from this morning:
UFC Stockholm ceremonial weigh-ins live now:
Totals I really like:
Manuwa/Rakic Under 1½
Teymur/Jo Over 1½
Ray/Santos Over 2½
Malecki/Santana Over 2½
After round 1: Live In-Play Sung Bin Jo (+159) vs Daniel Teymur $100.00 for $159.00
Losing my ass so chasing on Jimi at this price: Jimi Manuwa (+225) vs Aleksandar Rakic $200.00 for $450.00
After round 2 Live In-Play bets:
Alexander Gustafsson (-130) vs Anthony Smith $130.00 for $100.00
Alexander Gustafsson (-149) vs Anthony Smith $298.51 for $200.00
After round 3 Live In-Play: Alexander Gustafsson (-200) vs Anthony Smith $200.00 for $100.00
Smith might have won the first two rounds, but what a turnaround for Smith to get Gustafsson's back and that round 4 submission after a very difficult round 3 where he took heavy punishment.
Wtf, my guide said ufc starts in an hr! I missed it all :/
